Can someone help me with choosing meal plans that will help me lose some weight?
I've done a little research about how many grams of this and that I need and read up onthe glycemic index of foods and what my caloric intake should be for my goalsbut all the information can be overwhelming. Basically I need some pointers to help me compose a daily/weekly meal plan. I know I can stick to a meal plan I just need help deciding what I should eat, how much and how often. Once I have something composed that meets with all the "numbers" healthwise, I will be good to go... I am a female 5'5" 165 lbs. my caloric intake should be about1600 if i want to lose weight. I needs about 25-30g fat per day, 60-75 g protein and 220-275 g carbs.Ideally I need someone to take these numbers and create a meal plan to get me started. oh yeah and i'll eat almost any kinds of food, but i can adapt any foods if I need to.... Thank you!

- I'm sorry, but you are approaching this all wrong. The human body is very adaptive and pre-programmed for self-preservation. Diets cause the body to go into a defensive mode by lowering your metabolism. You will not lose fat and keep it off by using a 'diet'. You would be MUCH better off if you simply exercised. Doing both would be even better. The exercise overcomes the body's slowing of metabolism. So, don't get so wrapped up in counting calories. Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day and exercise.
- I have been trying to lose weight for a long time. I recently started the Medifast plan because it took all the guesswork out of dieting. I choose 5 Medifast meals each day plus one meal consisting of lean protein and vegetables. What I like about it is I don't have to guess about portion sizes and fat content and all that stuff. They do it for you. Good luck to you in your weightloss efforts!
