Have you ever tried the G.I. Diet?
It's the one that uses the Glycemic Index scale to sort good food from bad. It's really workd, I lost ten pounds on it in three months, just eating the green lights foods, and it's easy to follow. Tell your experiences with this diet.

- The G I diet is a great way to lose weight, however it does not help by giving your body the nutrient's that it needs and soon your body will want to have the protein and other nutrients that it needs. So you need to insure that you are getting the macro and micro nutrients that your body needs
- for most this is the best way to lose weight. it is a good way of controlling insulin. insulin sensitivity is the cause of most obesity in the usa.
- To a point, I am always on the GI diet and most good and healthy diets work with the GI scale. For example: I don't eat breads with white flour but I do eat bread and pasta that is 100% whole grain. On the GI scale whole grain is acceptable but white flour isn't. I also choose green beans over corn when ever possible because again the bean rate better. On the GI diet you really don't have to give up anything just make choices. Prevention magazine has a good book on the GI where they name specific name brands, For example: most people believe that brown rice is lower on the GI scale than white rice. However, Uncle Bens converted white rice is much lower than brown rice. So if you prefer white rice Uncle Bens converted is for you. You can usually find Uncle Bens Converted rice in almost any grocery store in the US, I am not sure about out of the US. The GI diet makes a lot of good sense and is easy to follow. 10 pounds is a nice amount of weight to loose without going hungry or being on a silly faddish diet. Continued success!
